Hello and happy 2019! One of the intentions I have coming into this new year is to be more immersed in my music practice (making, collaborating, and listening). I look forward to sharing new sounds with you in the near-future. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a little rainy day sketch I did today with my cat Elijah by my side. Wishing you a happy new year filled with good heath, love, and togetherness!
Rather than going down the rabbit-hole of committing to concrete and often unrealistic resolutions for the new year, I’d like to begin 2018 by setting some intentions that offer a little more wiggle room. Speaking for myself, this means exploring the process and becoming less attached to outcomes or specific “goals”.
Here are a few that come to mind…
Look for ways to collaborate more. This can be through creative pursuits, volunteer work, and dialogue within and across communities.
Wellness… cooking more, exercise, meditation, and reducing stress.
Nurture friendships and look for opportunities to meet new people.
Spend time in nature.
Make more music and stay open to the many possibilities.
Wishing you all peace, good health, and creativity in the New Year!
